Clinton credited with key role in success of NATO airstrikes, Libyan rebels


U.S. officials and allies are offering a detailed new defense of U.S. leadership in the airstrikes against Libyan strongman Moammar Gaddafi, crediting Hillary Rodham Clinton's diplomatic efforts with keeping the coalition from falling apart.

"We set into motion a policy that was on the right side of history," Clinton said in an interview with the Post's national security reporter Joby Warrick.
