It's been a whirlwind week for the duo, who co-wrote the latest chapter in their long-running friendship/feud thanks to an interview Clinton gave over the weekend in which she criticized elements of Obama's foreign policy. Then, days later, she called Obama to make sure he didn't feel as those she was attacking him even as her spokesman predicted that the two would be "hugging it out" tonight at the Jordans' party.
While that might be overstating it slightly, you can be sure that both Clinton and Obama will go out of their way to be friendly toward one another -- ensuring that no one suspects any fraying of their relationship. But, with Clinton positioning herself for a presidential bid in 2016 and Obama looking to build his legacy in the final two years of his second term, the frenemies dynamic between the two will only grow stronger.
